Since crossing over into mainstream country from Christian rock, the family band Caballero has experienced a whirlwind of attention, building a huge fanbase around the world. In the small city of Evans, Colorado, the band is fronted by Eli Caballero with brothers Nando Jr. on lead guitar, Micah on drums, and Fernando on acoustic guitar. With all the recent attention, Caballero is on its launching pad to the top.
Kicking off the success of the fiery, rock and roll-influenced country sound Caballero brings to every performance, Caballero stole the show and walked away big winners at the Country Throwdown Battle of the Bands hosted by nationally recognized music venue The Grizzly Rose in Denver, Colorado. Caballero won a week as The Grizzly Rose’s headlining house band, the opening spot for Lee Brice, and the chance to meet with Brad Paisley’s record label representative.
Caballero has not quit striving for further success. They became a regular favorite at The Grizzly Rose. Pushing for more gigs, the band travelled to Austin, Texas to develop their first country rock EP and worked diligently to bring brilliance to this band’s already pitch-perfect sound. The EP was recorded and produced by Grammy Award winner Randy Caballero’s Studio Masters and recorded at Rock Army Recording Studio with Paul Soroski and additional recording mixing and mastering done at 512 Studios with Omar Vallejo.
The family band’s love for country music has personal ties with the cowboy way of life and country culture making the transition easy. The band’s unique fusion of country, rock, and blues with gospel music harmony, makes every song different, grasping the attention of many. Caballero rocks the house with their quality vocals, clarity in music and performance, and their “meet everyone” attitude, allowing gigs to roll in.
Under their belt, the band has opened for nationally known artists such as Lee Brice, Chase Rice, Randy Montana, Tyler Farr, Thousand Horses, Joey Hyde, and Jon Pardi to name a few. They have played many venues including the Greeley Independence Stampede, Cheyenne Frontier Days, The Gambler, The Grizzly Rose, charity benefits, and many more. Not quitting there, the band has also toured nationwide and in foreign countries.
With fans craving more of Caballero’s commitment to God, Family, and Country, the boys are now back in the studio turning that EP into a full-length album. Based on the popularity of the EP, there’s already talk of some of music’s highest accolades in their future.
